Mayon Volcano

sang songs for freedom
recited rhymes with rhythms
wise intellect, guitar slides introspect

banzai trees and banquet floor seating
drank rice grains strained as i've been in brain
sank twice, dank as nice down the avenue, too

him n malaya, mountains to move
two paths prove just as worthy
through the valley of grooves

straight shot up outta the mouth of the north shore
early morning reporter says there are waves on your front porch

that's us waving by, good things flying high
hell no melodies like 'we won't go'
we don't know the type of negative
the neggie no

pass it off as a bad diet, blame it on the veggie boat
or maybe not enough supplements to stay afloat
way passed the looking glass, hello hell, no... another window

waiting for a story to tell, watchin' you watchin' it
black or white, bright or not, might as well make it optional
to sit a lot on the same spot lookin' for a closed caption full of action

anticipating the next fraction pull of the best sacks
then maybe you'll overstand why the you're just the next and
the checks not comin' in the mail soon enough for you to view your bluff

wool over your eyes, lyrically lacerated in lies, fashionable lines
and sucka emcees suck so much, that such and such had to mix 'em in the punch
jungle juice to go around for rounds, and guess who ended up with the last scoop of it

extra special blended mushroom tea with hush in the room, freestylin' in the living space
everybody smiling from the giving grace of light in raymind's eyes, even his first sun, b-boy
dancin' like a spirit born, super free bein' in spirit form, i hear it stormin' in the distance
the future is nearing, the hour is now, the minutes are just instants away, here comes the day...

greetings gorgeous, green grasses and gardens, boy meets girl often enough to puff a swirl
the stuff this world is made of, tough love and pearls to orient your selves to, 13 full moons
to melt you is to deal with what's dealt to you, nothin' but hot fiyah tryin' to make you retire
its effortless just because the measurer measured this wrong, put pressure to prong

then grounded the song, the treasure is strong.

Honor, Houses, and Oaths

without saying too much, or spelling anything at all.  these signs and symbols are only signaling the inevitable.  once these words are heard, and the thoughts caught, then we'll fly...  till then, a breeze filled with colorful harmonies, musical notes and joyful laughter; hope has sprung.
